Asa DakinBox Office Manager boxoffice@renophil.com Asa Dakin, Box Office Manager, absolutely loves music! His earliest memories have always involved some sort of delicious audio candy. Asa has worked and performed in many musical contexts around the Reno/Tahoe area for over ten years. Asa believes the Reno area has a very fertile and untapped music, arts and culture scene that will only get stronger as growth brings in more and more diverse talent to northern Nevada. Asa is a fourth generation Nevadan born in Carson City and raised in Dayton. The isolated rural nature of the Dayton valley attracted many an artist, biker, hippie and “free thinker” back in the seventies and this eccentric mixture of characters had a profound influence on him. After graduating valedictorian of his high school class Asa dabbled in college life for a bit then hit the road with the band December. After traveling extensively across North America, life on the road lost its luster and Asa retreated into the abstract realm of mathematics and physics at the University of Nevada Reno. In his free time Asa can be found sitting by the river reading a light book on vector analysis and humming jazz heads to himself.
